Topic: How do "alternative deadlines" for submission types / conference tracks work?  (Read 76527 times)

I want to set "alternative deadlines" for certain "submission types / conference tracks". Please explain how this works.

(A German version of this article is available.)

The scheme is as follows:
Please go to:

Overview => Settings => Main Settings for Paper and Abstract Submission

In "Phases and Deadlines" you set the overall final deadline for new submissions (see image 1). So if this final deadline has expired, no author can submit a new abstract / paper any more (for any track).

If you have different deadlines for your submission types / conference tracks, you can set an earlier submission deadline for each of them (see image 2). This deadline is for new submissions. Please go to:

Overview => Settings => Manage Submission Types / Conference Tracks

and select the tracks with an earlier deadline.

For editing abstracts and uploading files you can set different, independent deadlines (see image 2).
So these can be later than your alternative submission deadline for this type / track and also be later than the global deadline in "phases and deadlines".
