Bibliography Farid Makhlouf is an Associate Professor of Economics and Econometrics at Pau Business School and an Associate Researcher at the TREE, UMR 6031 , Pau University, France. He specializes in the empirical studies of the remittance phenomenon. His work mainly focuses on the reaction of migrants through their remittances to shocks in their origin and host countries. The author holds a Ph.D. (with Distinction) in economics from Pau University. In addition, Dr. Makhlouf advises Ph.D. and master students in economics and his teaching experience includes various undergraduate and graduate-level courses in macroeconomics, statistics, and econometrics. The author’s works have been published in Research in International Business and Finance, International Review of Applied Economics, The World Economy, Empirical Economics and Journal of Energy and Development as a sampling.
