Real Exploration of Assessment and Learning (REAL) using Sophisticated Toolkits across NFQ levels Atlantic Technological University This workshop would look at the development of advanced interactive material within Moodle which aligns to assessment at all QQI levels. It would be based on the work carried out under QQI Aniversary Bursary call where a large suite of new Moodle questions were developed using the Formula plugin. Features included complex grading schema, enhanced feedback, data analytics to drive practical class pedagogy. Many of these features make this question type particularly suitable for use in the AI era. The workshop would cover: Intro to formula type questions. Exploring the basic functions and generating advanced question types. Understanding your own grading schema and translating them into computable statements. Giving feedback and advanced feedback design and using student generated data in quiz questions. People who attended the workshop would expect to have some knowledge of writing quiz questions in Moodle but no experience in the Formulas plugin is necessary. After attending they would have a question bank of questions to build from as well as an understanding of how they might be suitable to enhance their own teaching practice. Equipment: Participants should bring a laptop or other device with them to the workshop to participate in workshop activities. | ||
