Network Analysis in Digital Humanities 1: University of Tartu, Estonia; 2: Institute of Polish Language (Polish Academy of Sciences), Poland This workshop focuses on the calculation, interpretation, and application of network metrics in the context of DH, enabling participants to integrate quantitative network analysis into their own research projects. It introduces the mathematical foundations and computational techniques required for large-scale analysis, while keeping a strong connection to humanities research questions. Participants will gain an understanding of how network measures can be meaningfully interpreted in cultural and textual contexts. The workshop also addresses common methodological challenges, including data preparation, modeling decisions, and the limits of quantitative interpretation. | |
