The ANR E-cclesia project: Linking Texts and Images on Late Antique and Medieval Church Architecture 1: Ecole nationale des chartes; 2: Centre Jean-Mabillon; 3: CNRS; 4: Aix-Marseille Universtité; 5: TDMAM; 6: ANR E-cclesia The ANR-funded (Agence Nationale de la Recherche) project E-cclesia aims to investigate the evolution of discourse surrounding church architecture in the Latin West between the 4th and the 12th centuries. Digital Humanities are at the centre of this multidisciplinary project, which brings together epigraphists, archeologists, philologists, historians and engineers. Indeed, a database linking texts and images related to the research theme is currently being constituted. Moreover, coordinating international teams across institutions and disciplines requires shared governance standards, common ontological frameworks, and structured iterative enrichment processes applied to existing datasets. This poster is conceived as an illustration and reflection on the workflow, Digital Humanities tools, and methods used by the project members. | |
