Creating Space for New Ideas with OPERAS Innovation Lab 1: Institute of Literary Research of the Polish Academy of Sciences; 2: Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Centre IChB PAS; 3: OPERAS AISBL Given the specificity of innovation within Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH), this poster presents the OPERAS Innovation Lab, contributing to discussions on how scholarly infrastructures can support innovative DH practices. The Lab’s operational model was developed through iterative observation and analysis of real use cases in SSH scholarly communication. This evidence-based approach shaped its dual structure: the Observatory, mapping innovation dynamics, and the Accelerator, supporting the development of promising ideas. Drawing on Horizon Europe–funded GRAPHIA project, the poster will present Lab's methods to support pilots integrating AI, knowledge graphs, and large language models in SSH workflows. By presenting its operational model, methodology, and practical implementation of its support, the Innovation Lab positions itself as a collaborative initiative devoted to strengthening innovation capacity in the SSH community. | |
