No pain, no gain? Rethinking research data management planning in DH: A participative workshop on the use and benefits of data management plans 1: Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, Germany; 2: University of Cologne; 3: Freie Universität Berlin The workshop will address the challenges researchers face in using data management plans (DMPs) in the Humanities, particularly in the Digital Humanities. A preliminary study found that while DMPs are intended to support research data management (RDM), many researchers find them time-consuming and lack intrinsic motivation to use them. The workshop aims to explore ways to increase intrinsic motivation, reduce the effort required to use DMPs, and identify factors for successful RDM planning in the Humanities. | |
