Digital Maths Tasks with STACK and the STACK project DZdA TH Würzburg-Schweinfurt, Germany We present some features and application scenarios of the assessment-tool STACK and introduce the project DZdA which supports lecturers across German universities to use STACK. STACK is an open-source mathematics assessment tool available as a plug-in for Moodle and ILIAS platforms backed by an active community of users and developers, primarily comprising mathematicians. As a core principle, students should enter the answers themselves assisted by a real-time preview of their input. The students‘ answers can be analysed by the integrated computer algebra system Maxima which enables immediate individualised feedback and partial marking. Moreover, Maxima enables to randomise tasks and to set up example generation exercises. STACK provides high flexibility by supporting various input types and the integration of dynamical geometry software as JSXGraph and GeoGebra. | |
