Conference Agenda

As Digital Humanities research expands beyond text, the demand for specialized computational infrastructure—for machine learning, large-scale data storage, and advanced imaging—is growing rapidly. Individual institutions often struggle to meet this need. The Austrian DHInfra.at project addresses this gap by establishing a national, shared, and federated infrastructure. Led by the University of Graz and supported by nine partner institutions, the project provides researchers with location-independent access to key resources. These include high-performance GPU clusters for AI applications, distributed repositories for long-term data availability, mobile data capture equipment, and Infrastructure-as-a-Service. Governed by CLARIAH-AT, DHInfra.at aims to democratize access to state-of-the-art tools, foster collaboration, and empower innovative, data-intensive humanities research across Austria. This poster will present the project's federated structure, its core services, and its significance for the DH community.
