Currently ConfTool does not include a detector for plagiarism, but there are many different internet-based plagiarism detection services available.
There are several reasons:
- Many systems don’t offer such interfaces.
- Plagiarism detectors can be expensive, especially if you want to use them on a regular basis, or submitted work should be checked automatically.
- Plagiarism checks usually take rather long, and it would not be possible to do the check during the upload procedure.
Therefore, we recommend that the organizers ask all authors to upload their files to one (or more) selected tool(s) and to upload the reports / results of the analysis as an extra file with their submission.
