We have create a special export that can be used to facilitate the import into Sched.
- Please download the import template from sched.org (see images 1 & 2).
- Please go to the ConfTool export page:
Overview => Data Import and Export => Export Data
First, turn on the Expert Settings toggle in the lower navigation bar.
The toggle is labeled "Expert Settings Disabled" until activated.
Then use the export called “Export Formatted Schedule” with the default settings (see image 3). Please use the Excel export format. - Now comes the tricky part: As Sched requires using exactly the template file with all headers (i.e., do not delete any lines at the top of the template table provided by Sched), the data of the columns have to be copied manually from the ConfTool export to the template provided by Sched. However, this takes only a few minutes. Please do not copy or change the header lines.
We recommend the following column assignment:

| Description

|
chairs
| Moderators
|

| Maybe use the Artist column and rename it in Sched later.
|
- Additionally, you can also use the following imports if you want to add more information to the authors, chairs etc.: Export the “Index of Authors” for all accepted submissions (see image 4) and import the name, email and organization to the list of speakers in Sched.
Furthermore, export the moderators (your session chairs) by using the “Export Registered Users” with the filter “Only Users With Status” and set it to “Moderator” (see image 5) and copy this data to import a list of moderators in Sched.
These imports can be done via the tab “Directory” in Sched.org (see image 6).
Hint:
Please note that every user from ConfTool (author, chair, discussant, and participant) will be counted as participant in Sched for (your pricing plan for Sched might include fees per participant).
