Topic: Data privacy statement on login page or registration form  (Read 57987 times)

We would like to add a "data privacy statement" that informs all users of the system how we handle personal data information about user activities. Where and how can we make such a statement available and where can we enter the corresponding text?

There are two options:

1. We recommend adding this information to the page with the "Contact Details and Legal Information" (see image 1). Please go to:
Overview => Settings= > Main Setup,

… and scroll down to the text field "Further / Legal Information" to enter the text (see image 2).

If required, you can also update the text of the link "Contact and Legal Notice" that leads to the page with your statement. Please go to:

Overview => Settings => Wording and Phrases,

… and search for the code "S_CTFOOT_IMPRINT". Click on "Edit phrase" and use the text field to update the link. For example, you can enter: "Contact, Legal Notice, and Data Privacy Agreement" (see image 3).

2. If you want make the statement available on the registration form for new users, please go to:
Overview => Settings => Settings for User Registration => Fields of the User Registration Form,

… and scroll down to the bottom of the page to the last section "Extra Options for User Registration".

Click on "Add New Extra Option No 1" (image 4) to add a new text element where you enter your statement. Please use the type "Line of text (no input field)" and enter your agreement terms to show this information to new users (see image 5).
