Topic: Changing the generated filename of papers  (Read 84594 times)

Is it possible to change the "generated" filename of submissions when there are already uploads?

(A German version of this article is available.)

You can change the generated filename any time.

Please go to:
Overview => Settings => Main Settings for Paper and Abstract Submission

In the section "Defaults for Uploads and Downloads" you find the option "Compose format of generated filenames".
If you change the filename here, the generated filename will be updated immediately for all files (see Image 1).

If you want to verify the accordance of the generated filenames with your modified settings please go to:
Overview => Submissions & Reviews => List of Submissions

Use the filter "File format for download links" to select the item "Generated filename e.g. author-year-title". The file names of all submissions will be displayed accordingly (see Image 2).

If you need to download all files you can find the relevant information on this page:
Downloading Multiple Files from ConfTool

NB: Files are stored on the server under a filename that is similar to the original filename.
This name is only visible in the XML and XLS files of the data export function, and usually you don't need to pay attention to that.
