Axencia Galega de Innovación, 15702, Santiago de Compostela, Spain This work reports the development of the first volumetric 3D printer in Spain dedicated to tissue engineering applications. The system, based on tomographic reconstruction, enables the rapid fabrication of complex biological structures in a single step, avoiding the limitations of traditional layer-by-layer methods that often reduce cell viability. Built with a 60x40x40 cm configuration, the printer was validated using GelMA solutions with LAP as photoinitiator, confirming their suitability for light-based volumetric printing. By offering an accessible and customizable alternative to costly commercial equipment, this achievement opens new opportunities for research and innovation in regenerative medicine. | |
