We will meet in the front of the central library of the TU Berlin at 9:30. Participants will be given a tour and a demonstration of the Mobile Lab and its rapid prototyping machines (3D printer, laser cutter, CNC milling machine).

We will then move to the Making Lab inside the library at around 10. We will give a 15 minutes presentation of the BUA open living lab project, and its relation to open source hardware concepts. We will present how past projects output (Open.Make and LAUDS Factories) build the infrastructure to create a BUA open living lab.

In a short workshop format, we will then discuss how a prototyping infrastructure can foster participative research, deliberating on how universities can leverage the concept of an open living labs to reach a larger societal impact. At 11h15, we will take the subway to be at noon at the conference venue.
