The expert talk allows for a forum to discuss the role of geoinformation to develop "Urban Infrastructure Futures". After an introductory talk a joined debatte will address challenges and opportunities.

This talk draws attention to the crucial role spatiality plays in enabling just transitions. By unpacking the characteristics of planetary justice and transformative innovation it illustrates how both must become essentially interlinked in place and space in order to initiate and navigate such complex development pathways leaving no one behind. This event is jointly coordinated by Leibniz Institute of Ecological Urban and Regional Development (IOER), CAG – Center for Applied Geomatics, CRDF and Faculty of Technology, CEPT University.

Dr Raj Kumar, is presently Prof Satish Dhawan Scientist at Space Applications Centre, Ahmedabad, ISRO, after his superannuation from the post of Director, National Remote Sensing Centre, ISRO in February 2022. He is actively involved in mentoring young scientists for cutting edge science and applications with spaceborne sensors and involved in reviewing several key ongoing and upcoming applications projects. He began his career with ISRO after his Masters in Physics and over the years, has held several key positions within the organization. During his tenure, he has lead the activities related to understanding Earth System, processes and interactions using earth observation data, and its applications towards societal benefits as well as studies in Planetary sciences. He has more than 125 publications in peer reviewed Journals of International repute and has also supervised more than 10 young researchers and still guiding young scientists for their Ph.D Dr Raj Kumar played pivot...
