I make art from my perspectives as an urban Kanien’keháka woman and as a cyberpunk avatar. Talk about untranslatable! But translate we must. So I continue to use craft and digital media to bridge the physical and virtual worlds, in order to bring about the just and peaceful future I envision and desire. In this talk I will present a selection from a strand of my practice that I call “Realizing the Virtual”. I will also talk about AbTeC Gallery, a virtual exhibition space that I direct whose mandate is to transmediate Indigenous art.
