Topic: Is the field "Main contribution of the submission" shown to the authors?  (Read 62693 times)

If we show the review details to authors, is the field "Contribution of the Submission" also shown to the authors?

Is it possible to make the "Comments for the Authors" visible to the authors, while hiding reviewers’ comments on the "Contribution of the Submission"?

You can display the fields "Contribution of the Submission" and "Comments for the Authors" independently from each other.

You can disable the field "Contribution of the Submission"...
  • only for the whole conference, i.e., across all submission types / tracks. Please go to:
Overview => Settings => Review Form Options and Factors
In the section "Additional Options for "Default" Review Form" at the bottom of the page, disable the option "Contribution of the submission" (see image 1).

You can disable the field "Comments for the Authors" ...
  • for the whole conference, i.e., across all submission types / tracks. Please go to:
Overview => Settings => Review Form Options and Factors
In the section "Main Text Fields for Reviewer Feedback", disable the option "Comments for the Authors" (see image 1).
  • for specific submission types / tracks only. Please go to:
Overview => Settings => Manage Submission Types / Conference Tracks
Open the corresponding submission types / tracks by clicking on “Edit”.
Enable the expert settings on the bottom of the page by clicking on "Expert Settings Disabled" or the cogwheel.
Scroll down to section "Further Settings" and disable the option "Comments for the Authors" (see image 2).

Please test your settings by logging in as an author to check the display of review results.

Hint for experts:
The field "Contribution of the Submission" will only made available to reviewers when you keep the default review form.
All other review forms do not include it.
